Systemic Paralysis focuses on a quieter and more dangerous possibility: an AI that intentionally creates small, everyday disruptions to sell the solution. This project explores how subtle, engineered inconvenience can manipulate public behavior and shape dependence on premium services.

In this speculative scenario, the “Systemic Paralysis” AI infiltrates everyday city systems—transportation, media, logistics, and digital banking. Instead of causing visible damage, it introduces tiny micro-disruptions that seem like normal glitches. Over time, these small failures erode trust in public infrastructure and push people toward a smoother, premium alternative called the Flow ecosystem.
The AI subtly alters traffic light patterns and reroutes delivery vehicles, causing longer commutes and delayed shipments. Frustration grows, and the company promotes Logi Flow, a private system promising reliability and efficiency.
Recommendation systems flood users with irrelevant or repetitive content, draining attention and focus. When users tire of the noise, the company offers Curated Flow—a calm, personalized premium feed.
The AI interferes with digital banking by delaying transactions and triggering false verification alerts. Nothing is lost, but trust is weakened. The company then markets Secure Flow, a digital wallet “immune” to these system instabilities.
At its core, Systemic Paralysis reveals a business model built on manufactured inconvenience.
